I-Doser & Binaural Beat Frequencies- Getting high off sound? May 22, 2007

I found this online a while ago, and just thought that it was pretty interesting.
I-doser is a program which utilizes the technology of Binaural beats.

Binaural beats or binaural tones are auditory processing artifacts, that is apparent sounds, the perception of which arises in the brain independent of physical stimuli.

The brain produces a similar phenomenon internally, resulting in low-frequency pulsations in the loudness of a perceived sound when two tones at slightly different frequencies are presented separately, one to each of a subject’s ears, using stereo headphones. A beating tone will be perceived, as if the two tones mixed naturally, out of the brain. The frequency of the tones must be below about 1,000 to 1,500 hertz for the beating to be heard. The difference between the two frequencies must be small (below about 30 Hz) for the effect to occur; otherwise the two tones will be heard separately and no beat will be perceived.

Interest in binaural beats can be classified into two categories. First, they are of interest to neurophysiologists investigating the sense of hearing. Second, some protoscientists believe that binaural beats may influence the brain in more subtle ways through the entrainment of brainwaves and can be used to produce relaxation and other health benefits.

Supposedly, using I-doser, you may be able to experience effects similar to those perceived when using drugs. Its 100% legal, but not 100% free. Visit http://www.i-doser.com/ for more information, and to download some samples and see if it works for you.

Reading about all of the claims of the Hand of God Dose, it was tempting to use it. I started with a good volume and didnt change it through out the process.
It begins with an usual humming sound after 10 % it gives some weird sounds in between that seemed to me like some problem with the dose but was the actual part of it… After 45 % the weird sounds become prominent and at 50 % another buzzing sound starts, which is irritating and torturous. Around 60 % this weird sounds increase their intensity and after 70 % it becomes fast this is where the hard part comes to handle it. Around 80 % another weird sound joins in and it becomes completely irritating. At around 96 % it gave relief of all the weird sounds..and goes silent… At the end it gave great sense of relief because you feel complete silence.

Yes, in between felt like someone banging on some drums or things like that. Felt nothing, like Weeping, fear or anger but the sounds are irritating and can get you angry if you continue!!

Certainly mind Boggling

I did the hand of god and if you change the file at all it loses its frequencies. Most people change it to a MP3 or listen to them on an I pod, but that’s not the way to do it. If you look hard enough you can find the real ones that don’t cost 200-300 bucks. Then you have to listen to them from the computer. I was only able to listen to The Hand of God for 31 percent. After about 5 min I couldn’t fell my body and them every thing got way way dark. It seemed like I was stuck in the floor, then I had zero thought at all and all I could fell was fear and loneliness. If you didn’t get any of that or an overwhelming sensation you did listen to the real ones. And if you do find the real ones DO NOT DO the Hand of GOD!!!!!

I’ve used Binaural beats a lot over the last year and found the technique hypnotic, effective and relaxing if used well. Binaural beats really helped me sleep. All I needed was an extension cord from my computer for my headphones, with “gnaural” running on it. One cycle of 72 minutes culminating at 4 Hz was enough to coax me into a sound, dreamless sleep.

Hope you have many benefits from binaural beats.

My first time here, you have a nice tech blog here, keep up the good work! :)
